SECURITY MEASURES
EK has many policies and procedures to keep your children safe. Listed below are a few of the primary safety measures:
-
The front door is locked 15 minutes after service begins.
-
Teachers and assistants are 18 years old or older and must pass a background check.
-
Student team members (JV) and male team members do not change diapers nor help with the bathroom.
-
Children must be signed in and wearing their name tag. Children will only be allowed to leave the building upon presentation of the matching security tag.
-
No adults are permitted to use the EK bathroom.
What do i do upon arrival?
Upon arrival all children are checked in and receive a name tag with a security code. The parent receives a corresponding tag. Upon dismissal the parent must present this security tag to the teacher in order to check their child out of EK. This allows us to confidently dismiss children to their parents.

CLASSROOM BREAKDOWN

BABIES - TODDLERS
We begin taking children at 6 months old in EK. The babies and toddlers class team members are trained to love and care for the youngest members of our church while beginning to lay a foundation for the Bible!
1ST - 2ND GRADE
When students move to the 1st-2nd grade classroom they begin to dig more deeply into the Bible stories. The flow of class is created to teach and review the content several times in order for the children to interact with the Bible in different ways. We also begin to focus on memorizing longer Bible verses at this age.
PRE-K - KINDERGARTEN
This class has children who are potty trained up to kindergarten. When you peak into this classroom on a Sunday you will see some high energy teaching going on. From sensory based activities to flannel boards we begin digging into Bible stories in a variety of age appropriate ways.
3RD - 5TH GRADE
This class is home to our upper elementary students. You will see the focus shift from not only teaching the students Bible content but to training leaders and innovative reconcilers! You’ll often see the students apply the day's lesson to their own lives in deeper discussion after hearing the Bible story.
